Cherry + Nourish Up Food Distribution Event Recap
On November 22nd, Nourish Up and Cherry volunteers provided one week's worth of non-perishable food to 348 residents in need. These numbers are amazing, and they were made possible because the Cherry community showed up. As a result, our neighbors had access to healthy, nutritious groceries and were able to sit down to a nice dinner.
We sincerely thank all the volunteers who showed up and made this event possible. We especially thank Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church for providing the event space, and Commissioner Chair Mark Jerrell (District 4) and Mecklenburg County for their introduction and ongoing support. We also sincerely thank the Nourish Up staff (including Danielle, Glenn, Gloria, Luke, Tim, and Vaughn) for making this happen at the last minute and for being such a strong partner with the Cherry Community.
